THE DRIFTER'S GUIDE TO THE REACH — THE NORTH REACH

The northern corridor stretches toward the galactic north through systems that range from well-established settlements with genuine civic infrastructure to recent activations where the Commission's quarterly inspection visits are the most regular institutional contact some residents receive. The Guide's coverage of the North Reach has been completed by three field correspondents, one of whom filed consistently, one of whom adopted the local pace of communication before eventually filing everything, and one of whom spent four months in a fermentation cellar at Holgersen's Landing and considers the time well spent.

The North Reach is a corridor defined by distance. Hop 3 is still institutional territory, with Assembly offices and fleet patrols and the ambient hum of organized governance. By hop 7 that hum has faded to an occasional newsletter. By hop 12 it is a legend that older residents half-remember. The systems listed here cover all of it, from the working monarchy at Crown's Hollow to the silence-shaped civilization at Rekohu, and the Guide has done its best to characterize each one fairly, which is to say: accurately, briefly, and with one eye on what they are not saying.
