A script scanned every tracked doc, rule, skill, agent, hook and source file
for tooling/ paths that no longer exist, skipping historical records (sprints,
discussions, workshops, governance, generated wiki pages). It found 62. The
ones that tell a reader what to RUN now name the reach verb:
- The atlas skill still sent agents to tooling/atlas, atlas-verify,
atlas-update-field and atlas-commit-and-sync — about forty lines, all
retired in T-1285. They now name the `reach atlas` verbs, and the skill
records that commit-and-sync STAGES by default (--commit to commit) and
takes --corridor as an option.
- The clerk agent named tooling/clerk-review (now `reach dev clerk`). The Si
and clerk briefings sent those agents to the retired tooling/db/decision
and sqlite-query CLIs and to decisions/*.md paths that moved to
governance/ in the pql migration. They now name pql.
- The ticket-cli rule documented `pql decisions read`, which does not exist;
`show` already includes the body.
- The culture authoring guide and the RON sources name
`reach validate ron`, with the same arguments as before.
- The 41 Blender payloads' usage lines ran the retired tooling/blender
wrapper, and the docstrings still cited pre-carve-out paths. They now read
`reach blender run <payload>`.
- Doc comments in server/, client/, wiki TOMLs and the domain modules.
What is left is deliberate: "Formerly …" provenance, dated plans and findings
docs, the retired-pipeline doc, and a build-artefact path.
project.yaml 0.4.14 (mirrored to the client). Comment-only, but four touched
files are in the canvas-version registry (trait_catalog_reader.rs, since
T-1289, canvas_sources.py itself, and two client files). The gate is
path-based and has no override. The previous push was rejected on exactly
this.
Three of the edits are stamped ledger sources, so systems.db is regenerated
and the stamp is fresh.

T-1272 (a verification, as rescoped). No directory Python imports carries a
hyphen any more. The hyphenated script trees were emptied by the per-domain
moves, not renamed. What still has a hyphen is never imported: the three Rust
crates, and the provenance under tooling/archive/, which has no __init__.py.
CLAUDE.md and DEVOPS still pointed at tooling/db/, and pyproject still
predicted the rename; all three fixed.
T-1274. E402, E702 and F841 were ignored for the whole tree from T-1066 on
(43 / 41 / 21 violations). All three are back on:
- E402: the planet modules' imports only sat below their path constants
because they used to follow a sys.path insert, gone since T-1288. Hoisted.
The Blender payloads keep a per-file exception, because they extend
sys.path under Blender's own Python.
- E702: the paired component assignments in three planet maths files are
deliberate, so they get a per-file exception scoped to those files.
- F841: 10 dead locals removed from live code, each checked for side effects
first; logo_uv keeps its call, which creates the UV layer.
- tooling/archive/ is excluded: it is provenance, and "fixing" a one-shot
falsifies the record of what actually ran.
Evidence the lint is real: violations fed through stdin fire in a domain
module, and E402 stays quiet only on a payload path. Evidence nothing moved:
globe renders are pixel-identical before and after for an oceanic, a frozen
and a gas-giant body, and the ledger edit was regenerated (stamp fresh,
generated_brands.toml unchanged).
One finding, noted in the code rather than fixed: planet_renderer computed an
oblate-spheroid ray scale and never used it, so `oblateness` shapes no globe.
Wiring it in would change every globe render; that is a decision to make
deliberately, not a lint fix.

`reach wiki stats` and `reach wiki gttr-hook` replace tooling/db/wiki_sync.py
and populate_gttr_hook.py. Both are output-identical to the originals:
`stats` byte-for-byte, and all 301 extracted GTTR hooks line-for-line.
wiki_sync.py moved whole, but generate_wiki() and import_from_wiki() are NOT
verbs. Before porting, the old `--generate` was run against a clean tree to get
a parity baseline. It changed all 301 system pages, +940 / -10,761, and was
reverted at once. It deletes the Celestial Bodies / Stations blocks (owned by
the Rust atlas sync, which it does not know about), deletes the
Industries / Exports / Imports rows (nothing writes those any more), and
rewrites star types where systems.db and the pages disagree. D-262, CLAUDE.md
and the wiki skill all described it as the routine, prose-preserving render.
CLAUDE.md and the skill now say not to run it; D-262 needs amending — T-1292.
Provenance moves to tooling/archive/, with a README naming what each script
did and why it is not run:
- pql-migrate/ (the T-1271 ruling)
- wiki-bootstrap/: assign-astro-ids + its catalog, migrate-s-to-gj,
patch-core-sector (hardcodes a dead path), fill-missing-globes,
generate-stubs and find-stubs (finds 0 stubs — Phase 1 is done),
backfill_cultural_corridor (a raw systems.db patch script, outside D-262),
and process-wiki-system-changes, whose last step is the destructive render
Also:
- stats() printed "run import first" and exited 0 when a table was missing;
it now fails with a remedy. generate_wiki() counted created pages after
writing them, so `created` was always 0.
- tooling/godot-cold-parse and godot-parse-sweep were never retired after
T-1283, and the pr-process skill still told agents to run them. Removed;
the skill and parse_sweep.gd now name the reach verbs.
- systems.db re-stamped: schema comments changed, and the stamp records the
schema file's SHA for tamper detection.

The sole generator of systems.db moves to tooling/domains/ledger/ and is
now `reach ledger import`. economy_import/ keeps its name (Rust comments in
server/src cite it); the entrypoint becomes service.py; schema_version.py
moves with the importer, which is where the version is defined.
The stamp survived the move, which is the thing that had to hold:
- generated_brands.toml is byte-identical (sha256 e748531…) before and after
- `reach check systems-db-stamp` reported STALE after the move (the registry
saw it) and OK after the regen
- the dry-run carries every count and warning of the baseline transcript,
and exit 2 — imported and stamped, coverage gate unmet — still reaches the
caller through @command
`make regen-db` survives as a one-line delegate, per D-263's muscle-memory
clause: about fifty files name it, including the headers of generated wiki
TOMLs and the remedies the push gate prints. `make economy-db` is retired;
it ran `reach generate brands` before the import, which the import already
does as its first step.
economy_import.errors is reconciled as DOMAINS.md asked. ImportAborted stays
as internal rollback control flow and never reaches a caller; the service
converts it to a ReachError carrying the remedy.
regenerate_brands caught cargo_binary's ReachError, printed it and raised
ImportAborted, dropping the remedy. It runs before the import transaction
opens, so there is nothing to roll back — it now propagates.
Both sys.path bootstraps are gone; they existed only because the directory
was hyphenated. The step labels ran [1/10]…[10/13]…[17/19]; one 24-step
counter now drives the event phase and progress.
Stale pointers fixed on the way: MIGRATION_SQL has lived in
economy_import/migration.py since T-1067, but the asset-pipeline rule,
DEVOPS and the schema comments still sent readers to import_economics.py;
the rule and DEVOPS also still named the check scripts T-1281 retired.

One commit for two tickets whose changes share the bridge/plugin
plumbing files. T-1169 connects the three dormant feature-name pieces:
atlas_feature_names populated at regen (17,891 rows — 15,190 mountain,
2,701 river — via populate_atlas_feature_names mirroring the city-names
importer; systems.db regenerated, stamp fresh), attach_feature_names
wired into the cascade's Topography block with name pools threaded
DB-free through AnalyzeBody (D-225 pattern) and assignments stored on
Layer1Output/BodyWorldState for future consumers, and a
FeatureNamesRequest/Response read proxy as the bridge's 7th tagged
envelope (D-236 pattern, both SimBridge impls). Client label DRAW is
deliberately NOT here — implementation proved both river and mountain
labels need a wire-carried position (the pool is position-free; course
polylines aren't correlated with the named attractors by construction) —
deferred to T-1195's single design pass. cascade_layer1 golden re-pinned
(additive feature_names field).
T-1159 retires the legacy u32 granularity field fully shadowed by
window_granularity_v2: AtlasLayerRequest.window_granularity,
DistrictWindowLayer.granularity echo, the u32::MAX sentinel, and
resolve_window_granularity are gone server-side; client encode paths and
the caller-less atlas_window_cache legacy key component dropped;
msgpack fixtures regenerated; the T-1150 aliasing regression test now
drives through the surviving enum field. The district_window carrier
itself survives byte-compatible per D-255(c).

H1: guard that each axis value is a {token=weight} table before .items() —
a scalar (wall = 15000) or the array shape (wall = ["steel_frame"], a
plausible copy-paste from the sibling catalog's visual_bundle) now yields a
clean V-TT-06 error instead of a bare AttributeError. Mirrors the isinstance
guards already on zone_map and axes.
H2: exclude bool from the positive-integer weight check (weight = true is an
int subclass, previously slipped through as 1) — matches the guard
populate_color_register_bands already applies to its own values.

- architecture_zone_bias (57 rows): sparse per-template, per-zone_type
token-weight overrides (integer bps), Miri-authored — the D-235 step-2
zone bias. V-TT-06: every token must exist in that template's own
visual_bundle axis.
- color_register_bands (28 rows): per color_register integer HSV bands
(hue centidegrees, sat/val bps), Araminta-authored. V-TT-07: full
catalog coverage + valid integer bounds (min<max, in range).
Both TOMLs registered in generator_sources (stamp coverage); DDL in
systems-schema.sql + migration.py; validation wired into import_economics

coverage repair (D-232 reserves the heritage sub-pool for the remoteness
dial); reachable via hero pin, necessity swerve, and the T-1003 heritage
pool only. 3 new tests.
T2+H4: coverage repair no longer grows trait_selection past K when all
slots are pinned (phase-2 necessity swerve serves the type instead);
runtime warn when authored pins exceed K; V-TT-05 importer guardrail

H1: body-level dispatch aggregation extracted to pure

Hoshe + Tyre review of the micro-habitat-mosaic branch requested changes on two
data-confirmed correctness bugs plus follow-through. All addressed.
Blocking:
- C1 (voxel.rs): the mosaic re-granted vegetation the climate withheld — a frozen
ice world (Edict) read 61% vegetated tundra. The Grassland apply-gate now fires
only where the climate already grants cover (!Barren); a climatically-barren
district (frozen < -50C = surface ice/geology D-239 §2, or hyper-arid moisture<5,
both resolved to VegetationClass::Barren upstream) is skipped. Genuine tundra
(cold + moisture>=15) is Scrub upstream and still reaches the tundra palette via
the same !Barren path. believability.json regenerated: Edict vegetated_districts
39->0, Arbour 20->8 (its real cold-pole/arid districts revert to barren);
intra-class variety preserved (Arbour vegetation_classes 3, micro_habitat_distinct 2).
- H1 (bodies.py): biosphere Gate 0 keyed on `inhabited`, conflating settlement with
biosphere and force-Airless'ing uninhabited-but-alive worlds (D-247: worlds were
alive before humans). Gate 0 is now settlement-independent — keyed on
atmosphere/hydrosphere/planet_class. 24 uninhabited-alive worlds now classified
(was 0); GJ0g-1 (dense atm + rivers) -> NativeMirror. Split 122 Compatible :
121 Mirror; all 9 canon exemplars hold.
Follow-through:
- C2 (bodies.py + D-247): Gate 0 now reads planet_class (barren -> Airless) as
D-247's "+ planet_class" phrasing names. D-247 amended to record the actual
two-gate signal set (atm/hydro/planet_class habitability; economic_base_primary
chirality; settlement-independence).
- C3 (believability.rs): micro_habitat_distinct criterion relaxed to `== 0 || >= 2`
— the min-over-patches estimator makes K=3 unreachable against a dominant-entry
palette; K=2 provisional, Q-123 calibrates.
- C4 + H2 (D-246): amended to record the v1 scope cut — only the Soil-derived
vegetated/wet classes take the mosaic; material-driven families are `_ => false`
so Hardpan/Scree are authored but unreachable in v1; no elevation change in v1;
the mosaic OWNS the §8 climate->vegetation law for the classes it touches.
- H3 (voxel.rs): three dedicated mosaic-pass regression tests — C1 barren-respect,
§8 material-untouched + forest-textured, T-1040 no-water-without-channel.
- H4 (voxel.rs): relief_signal comment corrected to ~[-1,+1].
- H5 (bodies.py): frontmatter override now strips quotes + validates against the
4-value enum (warn-and-skip on typo).
systems.db regenerated + stamped (H1). believability golden regenerated (C1).
Full cargo test green; clippy -D warnings + ruff clean.

The D-247 chirality/edibility register as authored data on every body, via the
stamped regen-db path (import_economics) — not a manual bake.
- systems-schema.sql + migration.py: nullable bodies.biosphere_class column.
- economy_import/bodies.py: populate_biosphere_class — reads the authored
environment.biosphere_class frontmatter override, else the D-247 two-gate default
(Gate 0 habitability from atmosphere/hydrosphere/inhabited; Gate 1 Compatible/Mirror
from economic_base_primary; neutral remainder -> stable ~50/50 split). Recomputes
every body each regen (frontmatter + default are its complete source).
- import_economics.py: wired as import step 17.
- frontmatter overrides for the bodies whose default deviates from canon:
Solandar=NativeMirror, GJ-524=NativeMirror (uninhabited-but-alive), Ha Long=
NativeCompatible (its transit economy hides its aquaculture identity). Linnaeus,
Arbour, Oshima, Freyburg, Puerto Ultimo, Edict all default correctly.
systems.db regenerated + stamped. All 9 canon exemplars verified; distribution is
111 Compatible : 108 Mirror among inhabited alive worlds (~50/50 target), Airless for
uninhabited bodies, TerraformedSterile for thin-atmosphere worlds.
Follow-up (rename completion): propagating Linnaeus to bodies.proper_name in the DB
(still "Cadwal" — proper_name is atlas-CLI-owned, and a wipe+reimport would drop
non-proposal columns like founding_age_years; needs a targeted approach).

First foundation slice of the Atlas-to-tile derivation model (epic T-974),
building the carrier layer ahead of its T-1027+ consumers.
T-1026 — Anti-squaring domain warp (D-239 §4): stateless pure
fn(seed,body_id,pos)->(f64,f64), ±8m, f64 to the final voxel then as-i32
truncation for IEEE-754 cross-target determinism. New domain_warp.rs,
SeedDomain::DomainWarp; golden-vector + cross-thread tests. Position math
only — D-010 integer discipline preserved downstream. Marked dead_code
until the T-1028 VoxelColumn pipeline consumes it.
T-1023 — RegionProfile carrier (D-239 §1,§10): new RegionProfile +
TectonicClass/GlaciationGrade/PrecipitationClass enums + BodyParams; derived
per-region river_threshold replacing the global 200 for tile consumers.
regions: BTreeMap on BodyWorldState, populated via the cascade's new
RegionProfile layer (runs when body_params is Some, else falls back to
Settlement). D-010 integer discipline, BTree ordering.
T-1024 — District climate primitives (D-239 §2): nullable temperature_c +
moisture on RegionProfile, mean-annual scalar (no clock dep; dynamic branch
deferred to Q-105). Hybrid inputs — new bodies.axial_tilt_deg column imported
from planet-gen body-defs (populate_axial_tilt_deg, 2611 bodies), luminosity
and orbital distance derived at runtime; greenhouse + diurnal-swing tables in
source-canonical climate_constants.toml. D-239 implementation note added.
cargo test: 1498 passed, 0 failed. clippy clean (pre-existing
large_enum_variant only). make check-systems-db: stamp fresh.

Review fixes (Hoshe/Tyre, both APPROVE):
- populate_trait_templates / populate_atlas_body_trait_bias: the table
DELETEs ran unconditionally (safe only via transaction rollback on
dry-run, and divergent from every other populate_* function). Restructured
so validation + guardrails always run (dry-run now actually surfaces the
would-bake counts and catches errors) but mutations happen only under
`if not dry_run:`. Verified: --dry-run reports 28 templates, writes nothing.
- atlas_body_trait_bias: reject `pin` entries that carry a
weight_multiplier_bps (pin is mandatory, no multiplier) — closes a silent-
accept gap before #1017 authors ~30-40 real pins.
Deferred (noted on tickets): visual_bundle fallback-map completeness
(Phase-5/Araminta), pin-count-vs-K bake check (#1017 acceptance),
geographic_sector pool-narrowing semantics (#977).

The D-232 core hand-curated catalog (28 templates) the architecture-flavor
draw reads from, baked into trait_templates (#993):
- Cross-corridor pool (10): economic-function templates gated by BulkClass
(extraction/industrial/cold-chain/precision/information/civic) + universal
baselines + the foreign-import swerve. Guarantees the CI floor.
- Per-corridor baseline (8): each corridor's default cohesive look — core
cosmopolitan, north anglo-frontier, south lusophone, west germanic +
compact-cooperative, east dense-utilitarian, deep-frontier surname +
hardscrabble.
- Heritage sub-pools (10): deep-history callbacks tied to the D-237 heritage
taxonomy (scottish highland, west-african compound, iberian hacienda,
atlantic creole, nordic timber, central-european blok, east-asian temple,
vietnamese water village, afrikaans kraal, arab oasis).
Each template = holistic bundle: two-tier eligibility (hard gates
bulk_class/ubiquity/prosperity_bps + soft weight mods), zone_affinity over
the real DistrictType enum, allow/block tags from a shared ObjectTag
palette, and a D-235 visual_bundle with generic fallback parents. All
numerics integer basis-points (D-010).
Adds the D-232 CI guardrails to the baker (V-TT-01: >=5 templates eligible
per BulkClass; V-TT-02: no template >60% of pool weight) — both pass with
margin (23-24 eligible/class, 5% max share). Catalog can grow via the
bounded Gemma pass (#992); hero pins are #1017.

Review fixes for the #1016 cultural pass (Hoshe/Paula/Miri):
- Kruger 60 (GJ 860A) xhosa -> cosmopolitan (Miri): GTTR describes an
Afrikaner/Xhosa/Zulu founding "without mapping cleanly onto any of
them" — the textbook genuinely-fused case, which taxonomy rule 4
resolves to cosmopolitan rather than one of the three. Commented.
- Altmark (GJ 357) financial_technocratic -> cosmopolitan (Paula):
reverts to the original shipped value; the GTTR reads as commercial
non-alignment, not credential-based technocracy.
- Kampala Gate (GJ 667B) + Moyale (GJ 1292) keep swahili but add inline
comments documenting that these are East-African-INTERIOR founders
(Baganda; Kenyan/Ethiopian Borana-Oromo) for which the taxonomy has no
dedicated token — swahili is the nearest available, NULL would fall to
the wrong corridor default. Gap logged for a follow-up taxonomy value.
Mwangaza (693) swahili is literally correct (coastal) — untouched.
- heritage-taxonomy-draft.md: stale "(38)" subheadings -> "(47)" to match
the actual canonical count (Hoshe/Miri doc typo).
Retracted: Pedra Seca (GJ 421B) xhosa — reviewer thought it lacked
authored backing, but its gttr.md explicitly states "Afrikaans and Xhosa
heritage"; pin kept.

Completes the deferred cultural half of #1016 and migrates the heritage
vocabulary to the canonical 47-value taxonomy (D-237).
Migration (mechanical):
- _CULTURAL_HERITAGE replaced with the canonical 47-value set
(docs/.../heritage-taxonomy-draft.md). Renamed the 4 shipped hero
values to canonical: afrikaans_cape->afrikaans, french_provencal->
french, italian_northern->italian, norse_compact->nordic.
Content pass (authored from GTTR/name heritage triage, 6-sector fan-out):
- +139 new cultural_specialization pins and 1 change (Altmark
cosmopolitan->financial_technocratic), taking coverage 32 -> 171
across 54 distinct values. Each pin is grounded in an explicit GTTR
founding-community statement or system/feature name etymology, applied
only where founding heritage DIVERGES from the corridor baseline
(D-167/D-232); corridor-typical systems left NULL.
Distribution is now balanced and diverse — portuguese 15, german 12,
vietnamese 10, afrikaans 10 (no longer dominant post-#1019), then a long
tail filling the previously-missing slots (welsh, herero, czech, akan,
hungarian, konkan, afro_brazilian, cape_verdean, shona, arab/persian/
turkic, etc.).
Judgment calls (flagged for review):
- Kruger 60 + Pedra Seca -> xhosa (mixed SA founding; adds diversity).
Pedra Seca has a Portuguese name but Afrikaans/Xhosa GTTR founding —
name/heritage mismatch noted for a future content fix.
- Kampala Gate / Moyale / Mwangaza -> swahili as the nearest token for
East-African-interior heritage; taxonomy may want a dedicated value.
- Kept hero pins Kensho=scholarly, Keid=scholarly, Nyrheim=nordic.

Review fixes for the #1019 heritage rebalance:
- Marib's farm world Ghouta -> Ghawr (Miri): "Ghouta" carries strong
modern associations (2013 Damascus attack); Ghawr (the Jordan Rift
Valley, an irrigated lowland farming region) keeps the water-fed-
drylands sense without the resonance.
- Add dominant_faction = "independent" to GJ 914A / 508A / 1245B (Hoshe)
— all five rebalanced systems are self-governing independent
communities; uniform with siblings GJ 722 / 680 and clears V-FAC-01.
- catalog.md: fill GJ 914A -> Marib and GJ 722 -> Sığınak (Hoshe) — the
two anchor systems still showed em-dash placeholders.
- Marib gttr: name the second aperture neighbour Sığınak instead of the
bare "GJ 722" (Miri).
Pre-existing Golestan aperture/spur wording (reviewers split on whether
it is even wrong) is left for a separate content pass — not introduced
by this rename.

The corridor over-represented southern-African heritage (afrikaans on 15
systems; arab=2, persian/turkic=0) as an artifact of the earlier
name-balancing overcorrecting. Convert five genuinely-thin afrikaans
systems — whose distinctive threads are heritage-agnostic — into
Arab/Persian/Turkic founders so the cultural cascade is built on a
balanced set. Load-bearing mystery systems (Eerste Wacht / Helderoog /
Brandpunt etc.) are left untouched.
Droëland (GJ 914A) -> Marib (arab)
Stilwater (GJ 508A) -> Sawad (arab)
Koeberg (GJ 1245B) -> Akhgar (persian)
Skuilplek (GJ 722) -> Siginak (turkic)
Carnarvon (GJ 680) -> Golestan (persian; Mostert dynasty -> Farahani)
Result: afrikaans 15->10; arab 0->2, persian 0->2, turkic 0->1.
Full narrative retouch (not just names): gttr.md + index.md prose,
body/station proper_names, cultural_specialization, gttr_hook,
atlas_city_names, and the four brand-corps named after the converted
systems (corp IDs kept stable; only display names + products renamed).
Cross-references in neighbour systems, the catalog, the aggregate
drifter guides, and the atlas proposals are updated to match.
arab/persian/turkic added to _CULTURAL_HERITAGE so the values validate;
the full canonical 47-value migration remains #1016.
Also fixes a pre-existing canon bug: Sawad (GJ 508A) no longer claims
GJ 914A is "unsettled" — it is Marib, a three-century settlement.

The 6-sector content pass (core pilot + deep_frontier/north/east/south/west,
~260 systems read from both index.md and gttr.md) authored economic_
specialization + dominant_faction for the systems whose lore makes those
identities distinct. Conservative pin bar: corridor-typical systems left NULL
for the heuristic/derivation fallback.
Totals now: economic 170 (27 hero + 143), faction 76 (27 hero + 49),
cultural still 27 (DEFERRED — the culture pass needs a canonical heritage
vocabulary first; the agents surfaced ~30 real heritages from the names plus a
genuine Middle-East/Arabic gap, to be reconciled into one taxonomy before
writing cultural_specialization).
regen-db green, stamp fresh, all CI guardrails pass. Soft warnings are the
expected D-177 MonopolySource review list, the known Arbour estate/breadbasket
question, and sparse-corp_presence W-FAC-03 advisories — none blocking.
Notable pins: Haodu financial_hub/syndic_dominant, Matamba legal_archive,
Inhambane/Sonnwend/etc breadbasket, the terroir cluster, the west_reach
Compact zone, Aurelius governance_center/veil_institute. FLAGs left NULL
pending human calls (ISPI=veil_institute?, Gate-Corp-as-faction).

make regen-db with the D-237 authored layer live: 27-row
specialization_vocabulary, economic_specialization + cultural_specialization
on 27 hero systems, dominant_faction on the authored set. Meta stamp fresh
(check-systems-db OK). Unauthored systems remain NULL pending the #1014
fallback and #1016 content pass.

- Update D-216 amendment text to match the implemented decision:
events-first uses event_type='colonial_charter' (9 systems, 11 bodies,
5 diverging from wave) — not the stale founding/first_settlement/
colonization scaffolding vocabulary.
- Add ORDER BY sort_order ASC to the colonial_charter subquery for a
deterministic pick if a system ever has two charter rows.
- Add explicit ELSE NULL to the wave-fallback CASE so an unexpected
settlement_wave leaves a trace instead of silently nulling.
Data unchanged: 269/273 set, 4 Sol NULL; stamp fresh.

Deterministic ±scatter on body radii seeded by body_id hash — no two
bodies share the same radius. Gas giants 40k-60k km, moons 200-2600 km,
rocky planets ±15% from class base. Oort/asteroid skip radius (NULL).
Sol system gets real planetary radii. body_radius_km exported to
star_map_data.json for client orbital diagram sizing.

New tables: atlas_body_heightmaps (D-202), atlas_city_names (D-207),
atlas_feature_names, atlas_province_boundaries (D-205), body_radius_km
column (D-204). Three new importers: heightmap BLOBs, city names from
wiki markers.json, province boundaries via D8 watershed analysis.
economic_role normalized to 7 canonical values (D-194). Stamp fix in
generate_atlas.py to hash all tracked source files. systems.db regenerated.

Replace SHA-1 hash in meta.schema_version with an orderable semver
string ("1.0.0"). SHA preserved in new schema_sha column for tamper
detection. Enables savegame migration lineage in Phase 5+ — saves can
record their schema version and determine which migrations to apply.
Updated both generators, check-systems-db-stamp validation (rejects
old SHA-hex values), schema DDL, and asset-pipeline docs.

Adds and expands wiki/corporations/*.md entries so make economy-db
Phase 2 gate passes end-to-end without the 21 raw-commodity / system
coverage failures. Unblocks Phase 2 demand simulation.
Existing corporations (15): tag additions to baektu-mining-alliance,
bergkraft-antriebswerke, bifrost-marmor, gate-corporation,
hanyang-precision, jeju-lattice, nordmark-skog, norrland-woodcraft,
salud-alliance, shetland-wool, societe-chimique, stalownia-kowalski,
svanevann-waters, thrds, tongyeong-drive.
New corporations (6): arbour-aggregates, earth-standard-group,
rush-mining, scapa-flow-industries, sede-chemical-works,
threshold-fuel-syndicate.
systems.db regenerated — coverage validation now passes.
Cross-team scope note: wiki/ is copy-team territory per CLAUDE.md.
Writes here are accepted by lead for this sprint (maintenance sweep,

Addresses all blocking + minor items from PR #136 review.
Architectural change (T2/H3 — the review's main complaint):
generate_brands was previously a separate Rust binary that produced a TOML
artifact, with its stamp written "on behalf" by import_economics.py at the
end of its own run. Reviewers flagged the invisible coupling: two sources
of truth in a system designed to have one, and no way to tell from the
stamp that one "generator" was really a subroutine of the other.
import_economics now invokes tooling/generate-brands as the first step of
its main() flow, before opening its own DB connection. The TOML artefact
is still produced and still committed (useful for diff-review of brand
changes), but there's now one pipeline owner. The meta table carries two
rows (import_economics, generate_atlas) not three; the Rust binary's
source SHA folds into import_economics' stamp via IMPORT_ECONOMICS_SOURCES.
A MIGRATION_SQL DELETE cleans up pre-merge DBs that still have the
orphan generate_brands row.
Other review items addressed in-line:
H1 generate_atlas._write_stamp no longer commits — transaction ownership
stays with the caller (matches import_economics pattern). Stamp +
atlas data now commit atomically; a failed stamp rolls back the
atlas data rather than leaving a stamp-missing-data intermediate.
H2 _file_sha1 (in both import_economics, generate_atlas,
check-systems-db-stamp) raises FileNotFoundError on missing sources
instead of silently contributing an empty-bytes hash. A ghost-SHA
convergence could otherwise produce vacuous "fresh" passes.
H4 pre-push no-meta-table warning rephrased — was "run after next
regeneration", now "run now if this DB was generated by you".
T1 asset-pipeline.md determinism claim softened: the stamp is
deterministic (same source → same recorded SHA), the DB binary is
not (generated_at + SQLite rowids/freelist churn).
T3 asset-pipeline.md gains a "migration escape hatch" section naming
MIGRATION_SQL in import_economics.py as the only sanctioned path
for direct writes, and forbidding hand-run sqlite-exec / one-off
patch scripts / SQLite-GUI edits.
T4 Makefile regen-db now runs as a single shell with `set -e`. A
failure in one generator halts the pipeline immediately, preventing
the "stale data, fresh stamp" state where a later step stamped a
DB whose earlier step had failed. import_economics' exit code 2
(coverage gate warning) remains explicitly tolerated.
T5 pre-push stamp check now runs on a branch's first push too —
compares against origin/main instead of origin/$BRANCH, closing
the gap where a new branch could ship a stale DB via the first push.
T6 check-systems-db-stamp fails closed on unknown generator_names in
meta — a future branch adding a new generator without registering
it in GENERATOR_SOURCES will now be rejected, not silently skipped.
T7 /pr-push watch list gains a mutual cross-reference comment with
GENERATOR_SOURCES in check-systems-db-stamp, plus the missing
names.rs source file, so the two lists cannot silently drift.
Follow-up tickets created:
#887 T8 decisions-orphan-tickets CLI — surfaces tickets whose
decision_ref points at a non-existent D-record.
#888 T9 meta.schema_version monotonic semver — for savegame migration
lineage in Phase 5+ (SHA comparison can't be ordered).

Adds systems.db regeneration discipline (#855) via a `meta` table (#856)
stamped by every generator, a pre-push hook that rejects stale DBs (#857),
and the top-level `make regen-db` / `make check-systems-db` targets that
drive the whole pipeline.
The stamp stores SHA-1 of generator source + schema, so the pre-push hook
can cheaply detect "you changed a generator but forgot to regen the DB"
before a binary merge conflict lands. Sprint 36 hit that class of conflict
on two branches touching systems.db simultaneously — this is the systemic
fix.
Regenerated systems.db is stamped; `make check-systems-db` passes.

price_tier was documented in D-189 §5 and present in brands.toml but
silently discarded on import — absent from schema, INSERT, and V-B06.
- Add price_tier TEXT column to brand_products CREATE TABLE
- Add COLUMN_MIGRATIONS entry for ALTER TABLE on existing DBs
- Add VALID_PRICE_TIERS constant (mass/premium/luxury/flagship/institutional)
- Include price_tier in product_rows tuple and INSERT OR REPLACE
- Add price_tier to V-B06 enum checks; skip NULL (nullable column)
