Single-command wrapper that handles temp file creation and cleanup
so tea comment works reliably with multi-line strings. Pre-approved

confirming no TCP deadlock race (Hoshe #1, critical)
- Make shadowcast parser order-independent — flush on new config header

Hoshe #3 (.PHONY) was already addressed — perf-baseline is in the
.PHONY declaration on Makefile line 10.

Adds `make perf-baseline` — boots the full server plugin stack with
real content, measures 50 ticks (5 warmup), captures per-tick timing,
entity counts, and process RSS. Includes shadowcast benchmarks. Saves
structured JSON to tests/perf/baseline.json for regression detection.
Supports --compare mode (>20% threshold).
First baseline: mean 366µs, p95 526µs (0.5% of D-026 100ms budget).

Check 9 tested `target in npc_rels` which missed NPCs with no
relationship entries. Changed to `target in self.npcs` so the
advisory warning fires correctly for all NPCs.

Golden targets: make golden-diff shows color diff if simulation output
changed, make golden-update regenerates and stages for review.
Checklist schema: JSON Schema for 7 condition types evaluable from
ObserverSnapshot. Per-room YAML checklists for 3 Gauntlet rooms plus
cross-room checks. Validation script + make checklist-validate/generate.

Separate workspace crate at tooling/test-client/ importing bridge
types from server crate. CLI: --connect, --replay, --text, --json,
--quiet, --golden, --ticks. Exit codes: 0=success, 1=golden mismatch,
2=connection error. Golden file comparison with recursive JSON diff.
JSONL replay loader for tick-scheduled input sending.

dialogue-ambient-dip.md: full Godot implementation spec for dialogue
(-7dB ambient) and confrontation (-11dB ambient + LP 800Hz, -5dB world
SFX) audio dips with tween code and edge case handling. synth_ui_sounds

- Filter YAML comment lines (grep -v '^\s*#') from both extraction
pipelines to prevent phantom canonical IDs
- Trim trailing whitespace from extracted fact_ids so grep -qxF exact
match works reliably

CLI tool to preview monologue/dialogue line selection for a given game
state. 4 subcommands: dialogue (D-028 4-layer pipeline), monologue
(trigger + prerequisite evaluation), coverage (dead conversation
detection), sequence (walk-through simulation). Authoring tool for
content team — tests line trigger logic without running the full game.

Build-time converter reads content YAML and emits RON format. Lives in
tooling/content-converter/ as standalone Rust crate. Runs via make
content-ron. Supports --dry-run, --verbose, --content-type filtering.
Not on critical path — engine consumes YAML in v0.1, RON is future-
proofing for runtime performance.

Adds tooling/install-godot script that downloads the Godot binary
from GitHub releases to ~/bin/godot4. Skips download when the
correct version is already installed. Supports Linux x86_64/arm64
and macOS. GODOT_VERSION defaults to 4.6 and is overridable.
