jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.7 b6107393a1 content(wiki): address PR #138 review — errors + warnings
Blocking fixes (4):
- P1: wiki/factions/index.md — replace canonical "Local Factions /
The Ring" table row with a prose note, since the-ring.md was
  rewritten in #865 as a generic informal-contraband-network
archetype rather than a named local faction.
- P2: wiki/factions/lattice-commission.md — replace The Ring
cross-refs (table row + Cross-References list) with generic
"informal contraband networks" framing; add D-193 cross-ref.
- P3: wiki/factions/lattice-commission.md — rewrite "Gameplay
Presence" section. Removed v0.1 smuggler/detective framing
(THE FRIEND detective path, Commission kiosk in logistics hub,
"detective's arrival" language) and replaced with corridor-
  wide structural description: certification inspectors,
field investigators, compliance kiosks, audit cadence.
- P5: wiki/factions/lattice-commission.md — refresh `updated:`
  timestamp to 2026-04-22.

Warnings (9):
- H1-H4: saigon-consulting, haesungdan-records, calluna-wellness,
leerfeld-records — expanded each above the ≥95-line DoD floor
with missing Political Relationships sections (mellanie3's
systematic section-skip, same pattern as the earlier cycle-2
pad pass) plus one extra cross-reference each.
- H5: 25 files in miri2's cycle-2 slice (alphabetical range
  ondori-interactive → transit-library) used shorter "##
Relationships" header; renamed to "## Political Relationships"
to match the canonical section title from alcyone-tech.md.
- P4: lusaka-advisory — added documentary anchor to the concealed
fact. The cross-engagement reference ledger (internal partner-
only document maintained since 2052 restructuring) and the
2058 partner-retreat memo declining to present it in dispute
forums are the investigative surface. Addresses Paula's note
that the original concealed fact existed entirely in partners'
  heads with no documentary trail.

Not fixed (documented as false positives — verified clean on
branch):
- M1: glossary.md line 19 NOT-list does not contain "Lattice
  Commission" (Mellanie removed it in the D-193 commit;
reviewer likely reading a stale snapshot).
- M2-M5: Van Maanen / Station Sova references in
  mastroianni-vehicle-group, ferreira-monteiro, gate-corporation,
stalownia-kowalski — all four files grep clean (#865 Bucket C
  rewrote them).
- M8: wiki/star-systems/GJ-35/sova/transit/index.md was deleted
in commit 25eb8bd0 — file cannot be fixed.

Info-only comments (P6, P7, M6, M7) left as advisory notes
for future deepening passes.

Sertanejo Design

Type: Corporation — Design and Furniture Manufacturer (Interior and Spatial) Status: Canonical Scope: South reach primary; inward corridor commercial design secondary Headquarters: Roça Nova (GJ 67) — south reach corridor, 5 hops from Gateway Classification: Sub-Syndic design enterprise; regional cultural design practice

Overview

Sertanejo Design produces interior and spatial design work for residential, commercial, and civic clients in the south reach. The practice's output ranges from private residential commissions — full interior design from concept through material selection and construction oversight — to civic identity projects where Sertanejo has shaped the visual and spatial character of community spaces for south reach system governments.

The practice is known for a design philosophy rooted in south reach cultural material — the specific textures, color registers, and spatial organization patterns that the studio's principals associate with the region's settlement history and ongoing social character. Clients hire Sertanejo because they want a space that communicates something about the south reach specifically, not a space that could have been designed anywhere. This is a genuine value delivered: Sertanejo's work is distinctively regional and its best commissions are recognized as such.

The commission contract that governs the delivery of this work contains a clause that most clients have not understood.

Origin

Sertanejo was founded thirty-eight years ago by two designers who had trained in the inward corridor design schools and returned to the south reach with the intention of building a practice that was not derivative of inward aesthetics. The founding goal was explicit: south reach design that took the corridor's own material culture as its starting point, rather than adapting inward trends for a peripheral market.

The early commissions were small — residential interiors for Roça Nova families who knew the founders personally. The practice grew through word of mouth, and within a decade had become the south reach's most recognized regional design firm. The first inward corridor commissions — south reach corporate clients wanting south reach character in their core corridor offices — arrived fifteen years ago and have since become a significant fraction of the practice's revenue.

Operations

Residential commissions: Full-service interior design for private clients, from design concept through material sourcing and construction supervision. Each commission is bespoke. Lead times are long; the practice accepts a limited number of residential commissions per year.

Commercial and civic commissions: Larger-scale work for corporate clients and system governments. These projects involve spatial identity design for offices, public buildings, and community facilities. Several Roça Nova civic spaces were designed by Sertanejo and are publicly credited.

Furniture and material design: Sertanejo produces a small line of furniture and material goods that embody its design philosophy and are sold separately from commission work. These products serve both as design objects and as marketing material — they appear in the practice's portfolio and in the spaces it designs.

Workforce: Eighteen designers, three project managers, and support staff at the Roça Nova studio.

Political Relationships

Quebrada Cultural: A south reach cultural organization with whom Sertanejo has collaborated on several spatial identity projects — installations and environmental design work for Quebrada's public programming. The relationship is creative and commercial, with occasional co-commissions from south reach cultural institutions.

Rijdbaar: A west reach furniture manufacturer whose modular systems Sertanejo has occasionally specified for commercial commissions. The relationship is a supplier specification; Sertanejo has no commercial stake in the recommendation.

Baia Fundo Productions: A south reach documentary production house that has commissioned Sertanejo for studio environment design. Commercial relationship.

What They Don't Talk About

The Sertanejo commission agreement — the standard contract signed by all clients before work begins — includes in its intellectual property section a clause defining the treatment of design documentation. The clause states that all design work produced under the commission — drawings, specifications, material selections, concept documentation, photographs, and any other documentation produced in connection with the project — is the intellectual property of Sertanejo Design and may be used by Sertanejo for portfolio, promotional, educational, and commercial purposes without further client consent.

The clause is explained to clients as standard for design practice — a statement that the practice retains its own work product. In the context of the initial contract conversation, it is described in terms of the design process documentation: the sketches and specifications the studio produces.

What the clause covers, as written, is broader. It covers photographs of completed residential interiors — the private living spaces of clients who commissioned the work. It covers spatial documentation of commercial projects that clients have not publicly released. Sertanejo's design team routinely photographs completed commissions and uses those photographs in its portfolio and marketing materials. For commercial and civic clients, this is expected and causes no difficulty. For residential clients, it means that photographs of their private homes are in Sertanejo's portfolio and on its marketing channels, taken under a clause signed before they understood its application.

Several residential clients have raised objections after discovering their homes in Sertanejo's promotional materials. Sertanejo's legal team has responded that the commission contract covers this use. The objections have not produced litigation. They have not produced a contract revision.

Gameplay Relevance

Sertanejo Design is a south reach cultural institution — a design practice whose work appears in residential and civic spaces throughout the corridor. Its portfolio constitutes a visual archive of south reach interior space.

The contract clause is the investigative thread. A player with access to Sertanejo's commission agreements — either through a client source or through direct access to the studio's contractual files — can read the intellectual property clause and understand its scope. Comparing the clause against Sertanejo's public portfolio identifies which spaces are documented under it.

A residential client who discovered their home in Sertanejo's marketing materials and who has documentation of the contract exchange would be a concrete source — someone with specific grievance, a signed contract, and knowledge of how the clause was described to them.
