jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.7 b6107393a1 content(wiki): address PR #138 review — errors + warnings
Blocking fixes (4):
- P1: wiki/factions/index.md — replace canonical "Local Factions /
The Ring" table row with a prose note, since the-ring.md was
  rewritten in #865 as a generic informal-contraband-network
archetype rather than a named local faction.
- P2: wiki/factions/lattice-commission.md — replace The Ring
cross-refs (table row + Cross-References list) with generic
"informal contraband networks" framing; add D-193 cross-ref.
- P3: wiki/factions/lattice-commission.md — rewrite "Gameplay
Presence" section. Removed v0.1 smuggler/detective framing
(THE FRIEND detective path, Commission kiosk in logistics hub,
"detective's arrival" language) and replaced with corridor-
  wide structural description: certification inspectors,
field investigators, compliance kiosks, audit cadence.
- P5: wiki/factions/lattice-commission.md — refresh `updated:`
  timestamp to 2026-04-22.

Warnings (9):
- H1-H4: saigon-consulting, haesungdan-records, calluna-wellness,
leerfeld-records — expanded each above the ≥95-line DoD floor
with missing Political Relationships sections (mellanie3's
systematic section-skip, same pattern as the earlier cycle-2
pad pass) plus one extra cross-reference each.
- H5: 25 files in miri2's cycle-2 slice (alphabetical range
  ondori-interactive → transit-library) used shorter "##
Relationships" header; renamed to "## Political Relationships"
to match the canonical section title from alcyone-tech.md.
- P4: lusaka-advisory — added documentary anchor to the concealed
fact. The cross-engagement reference ledger (internal partner-
only document maintained since 2052 restructuring) and the
2058 partner-retreat memo declining to present it in dispute
forums are the investigative surface. Addresses Paula's note
that the original concealed fact existed entirely in partners'
  heads with no documentary trail.

Not fixed (documented as false positives — verified clean on
branch):
- M1: glossary.md line 19 NOT-list does not contain "Lattice
  Commission" (Mellanie removed it in the D-193 commit;
reviewer likely reading a stale snapshot).
- M2-M5: Van Maanen / Station Sova references in
  mastroianni-vehicle-group, ferreira-monteiro, gate-corporation,
stalownia-kowalski — all four files grep clean (#865 Bucket C
  rewrote them).
- M8: wiki/star-systems/GJ-35/sova/transit/index.md was deleted
in commit 25eb8bd0 — file cannot be fixed.

Info-only comments (P6, P7, M6, M7) left as advisory notes
for future deepening passes.

Rijdbaar

Type: Corporation — Design and Furniture Manufacturer Status: Canonical Scope: West reach primary; inward corridor design market secondary Headquarters: Confluent (GJ 395) — west reach corridor, 3 hops from Gateway via Mark currency zone Classification: Sub-Syndic design enterprise; modular habitation systems manufacturer

Overview

Rijdbaar makes furniture designed to be lived with. The company's founding philosophy, present in every product brief for eighty years, is that habitation furniture is not decorative equipment — it is the material infrastructure of a human life, and it should be built to the same engineering standards as any other infrastructure. Rijdbaar's pieces are heavy, precise, and expensive. They are also rated to last sixty years under continuous residential use, and the products delivered against that rating.

The company's signature product is its modular habitation system — a range of shelving, storage, seating, and workspace components that connect through a standardized interface and can be reconfigured, extended, or reorganized throughout the customer's use of the space. The system is genuinely flexible and genuinely durable. It is also, in its connector interface design, exclusively compatible with Rijdbaar components.

Origin

Rijdbaar was established eighty-two years ago in Confluent by an industrial engineer who had previously worked in the west reach shipyard sector. The shipyard background is visible in the product philosophy: Rijdbaar's furniture engineering documentation reads like industrial equipment specification, with load ratings, tolerance stacks, and fatigue cycle projections that no other residential furniture manufacturer produces.

The founding products were static — individual pieces, no modular interface, sold to clients who wanted furniture that would not fail. The modular system launched forty years ago, driven by the commercial insight that a system creates a long-term client relationship rather than a one-time sale. The first modular customers are still using their original base components with multiple expansion sets purchased over the subsequent four decades.

Operations

Modular habitation system: The flagship product line — shelving, storage, seating, workspace components in a standardized modular format. The connector interface allows any component to attach to any other in the system. New components can be added, existing components removed or repositioned, and the system reconfigured as the customer's needs change.

Static line: Individual pieces — tables, chairs, bed frames — sold outside the modular system for clients who want Rijdbaar's material quality without the system commitment.

Manufacturing: The Confluent facility employs sixty-seven people across design, fabrication, and quality control. Precision fabrication of the connector interface is the most technically demanding element of the production process.

Distribution: West reach distribution is direct from Confluent for system-scale orders and through regional interior design suppliers for smaller purchases. The inward market is served through specialist importers.

Political Relationships

Steinbach Furniture: A west reach competitor in the design-heritage furniture category, based in Steinfeld. The two companies serve overlapping market segments and compete for the same corporate and residential clients. Steinbach's aesthetic is more industrial; Rijdbaar's is more precisely engineered. The distinction matters to buyers who care about it.

Vlaams Atelier: A west reach interior design and architectural services firm that specifies Rijdbaar components in many of its residential projects. The commercial relationship is one of Rijdbaar's most important single-firm client accounts.

Sertanejo Design: A south reach design studio with an aesthetic interest in modular systems. Occasional cross-corridor design exchange; no commercial relationship.

What They Don't Talk About

The Rijdbaar modular system's connector interface — the physical and mechanical joint that allows components to attach to each other — uses a proprietary tolerance specification that is tighter than any industry standard connector. The specification was developed by Rijdbaar's engineering team and is the technical basis for the system's rated load performance.

The technical documentation for the connector interface includes a structural justification: the tolerance stack required to achieve the load ratings specified for the modular system cannot be met by components manufactured to industry-standard connector tolerances. This statement is accurate. The load ratings are genuine and the tight tolerances are necessary to achieve them.

What the documentation does not disclose is that the proprietary tolerance was specified after the load ratings were established — not because the load ratings required it, but because the engineering team recognized that a proprietary connector would create a durable supply relationship with every customer who owned the system. The design sequence ran in reverse: the connector was made proprietary, then the load ratings were specified to a level that only the proprietary tolerance could support.

Third-party manufacturers have attempted to produce compatible components. Without the tolerance specification, their connectors fail below the rated load — which Rijdbaar's documentation accurately describes as a compatibility failure. The documentation attributes the failure to "precision tolerance requirements for structural integrity," which is true in the sense that structural integrity at the rated load requires the tolerance. It is silent on why the rated load was set where it was.

Gameplay Relevance

Rijdbaar is consumer infrastructure — present in any residential or commercial space that contains quality west reach furniture. The modular system is a common fixture in Confluent and adjacent corridor habitation.

The connector design sequence is the investigative thread. A player with access to Rijdbaar's engineering archives — specifically the design history documents for the modular system — would find the product development record that shows the tolerance specification and the load rating were developed together, and that the tolerance specification preceded the public load rating. The commercial rationale for the proprietary connector is documented in the same archive.

A former Rijdbaar engineer who worked on the original modular system design would have direct knowledge of the design sequence. Several are likely still in the Confluent technical sector.
