Supply Dependency

Enugu is the north_reach's outer industrial hub: mineral processing, transit-grade component manufacturing, and the commercial infrastructure that a junction system at this hop distance requires to be functional. The mineral deposits on the system's second body were the reason the founding families came here — a wave_3 extraction contract, negotiated by a consortium of Nigerian-heritage industrial investors who already operated processing operations in two inner systems and recognized the deposit survey data when they read it. The processing capacity they built is still running. Their great-grandchildren operate it.

The junction topology makes Enugu a regional commercial center in a way that its individual industries do not fully explain. Three gates mean three adjacent systems' worth of supply and demand routing through this station. The transit fee revenue compounds. The commercial district around the horizon station is substantially larger than the population alone would support.
