GJ 280B is the home system of Sova Station Works, the inner core's specialist habitat module fabricator. The founding Slavic-heritage community came as construction engineers; the system grew around fabrication work rather than agricultural or administrative settlement. The population is concentrated in orbital infrastructure rather than on any surface body.
Station Sova — the orbital station that serves as Sova Station Works' manufacturing headquarters — is the largest inhabited structure in the system and the hub around which all local economic activity is organized.
Narrative Hook
The company that builds the pressurized sections everyone else lives in started here. The workers who designed the Compact-Class Habitat standard — the module configuration the Commission adopted as its reference specification — still work here.
