The repo moved to /var/mnt/data/projects/settled-reach (flat layout,
no more /main worktree subdir). Drop the stale autoMemoryDirectory
override (pointed at the old /home path; revert to the native
per-slug memory store) and gitignore .worktrees/, which now holds
per-machine git worktrees under the repo root.

The pql cutover is stable, so remove the superseded SQLite planning tooling. Surgical
— only the ticket/decision/raw-SQL scripts (all settledreach.db-bound and replaced by
pql) are deleted; the asset/audio/wiki connectors and shared common.py stay.
Removed:
- tooling/db/{ticket,decision,decisions-sync,decisions_sync.py,sqlite-query,sqlite-exec,
sqlite-init,sqlite-seed,sqlite_connector.py}
- tooling/{db-backup,db-install} + docs/backups/settledreach.db.backup (the binary-DB
backup ritual; tickets now live in the git-tracked .pql/changelog/)
- tooling/check-decision-ids (dead stub, superseded by `pql decisions validate`)
- Makefile db-backup/db-install targets; SR_DB_PATH + tooling/db/{ticket,sqlite-*,
decision*} entries from .claude/settings.json (audio entries kept)
Updated docs to pql: DEVOPS.md (SQLite Access + Decisions System → pql), project
structure, ticket-cli closing note, asset-pipeline raw-SQL warning.
Kept (verified still imported by the asset connectors via common.ensure_venv): common.py,
config.json, audio/image/trellis/wiki connectors. The live settledreach.db file
(gitignored, repo-parent) is left on disk as a cold rollback only.
ruff clean; pql decisions validate ok (357 decisions / 1013 tickets).

Completes the Phase 4 consumer cutover: adds Bash(pql) / Bash(pql *) to
.claude/settings.json so the pql workflow runs without prompts. Added manually by
the lead — the auto-mode classifier blocks an agent from self-widening wildcard Bash
permissions even via /update-config (a deliberate security boundary).
SR_DB_PATH and the Bash(tooling/db/*) allowlist stay until Phase 6 (rollback path).

- settings.json: add Read(repo/**), Read(/tmp/**), Grep, Glob to the
allowlist. Teammates inherit settings.json (not settings.local.json),
which had no Read rule — so every teammate file read escalated to the
lead as a per-file prompt. This closes that gap.
- Add the system-economic-specialization workshop brief (lore-authored
per-system dominant-commodity field + within-system weighted variation;
Q5 covers adding a small identity field set in the same 300-system pass).
Note: agent memory-strip (6c93b698f) + this read-allow reach teammates
only after a Claude Code restart (settings/agent-def snapshot is taken at
lead startup).

Two agent-team tooling changes:
- teammateMode: in-process -> auto. Teammates now spawn in tmux split panes
when the lead runs inside tmux, with graceful in-process fallback.
- New PreToolUse hook git-centralize-guard.sh blocks .git-mutating commands
(add, commit, merge, push, pull, rebase, reset, checkout, stash,
cherry-pick, rm, mv) for teammates, keeping version control centralized to
the lead. Detection keys on the agent_type field, which a teammate's hook
input carries and the lead's does not. Read-only git is allowed.
Documented in .claude/rules/git-safety.md. Hooks load at lead startup, so a
restart is required for the hook to reach teammates.

Sprint-based workflow (38 sprints) replaced by kanban + milestones.
Milestones are many-to-many with tickets and can block each other.
New: /whats-next skill (dependency-driven batch selection with Si
refinement review), /pr-process skill (renamed from pr-push, adds
review comment pickup), clerk agent + pre-push hook for D-record
consistency checks.
Deleted: sprint CLI, sprint-start/sprint-plan/sprint-status skills,
team-scoped file restrictions. Si rewritten as refinement manager.
All 19 agent briefings updated from stale PROJECT_STATE.md reference
to live ticket milestone queries.

Generation pipeline focus — map all layers from planetary heightmaps to
walkable tile environments, build bare-minimum free camera viewer, close
Sprint 37 test/infra debt. Character and apartment work formally parked
behind the full generation cascade.

The Qdrant index (commonwealth collection, 475 points) was stale —
pointing at old worktree paths from previous sprints with no
maintenance. Grep covers all current search needs.
Removed: qdrant_connector.py, wrapper scripts (qdrant-search,
qdrant-index, qdrant-health, qdrant-count), /docs-search skill,
Qdrant/Ollama config entries, and all active references in agents,
rules, briefings, DEVOPS, CLAUDE.md, and TEAM.md. The commonwealth
collection was dropped from tower-of-joy:6333.
Historical references in discussion archives and sprint briefings
are preserved as-is.

Move start-sprint.sh into .claude/skills/sprint-start/scripts/ (was
standalone at parent directory level). Sprint-start Case B now calls
the script automatically after activating a sprint — creates ephemeral
worktrees and opens Ptyxis tabs for each active team.

Persistent worktrees (server, client, copy, audio, visual, ci, planning,
maintenance) caused agents crossing boundaries, stuck agents leaving
uncommitted work, and index.lock collisions. Replaced with ephemeral
sprint branches (sprint-{N}/{team}) and worktrees created on demand.
Changes:
- New start-sprint script replaces start-session (dynamic tabs per active team)
- Sprint teardown integrated into sprint-start skill (A1c step)
- SR_DB_PATH env var for database access from any directory
- CLAUDE.md team boundaries rewritten (scope-based, not directory-based)
- Agent Rule 0 updated to team scope dirs instead of worktree isolation
- PR review uses git show instead of cross-directory reads
- Briefing template updated for sprint-{N}/{team} branch naming
- Deleted worktree-update skill (obsolete)
- Removed WORKTREE_TEAM env var and cross-directory Read permissions
- All 8 persistent worktrees removed

Clears stale .git/index.lock files before git write commands.
Claude Code's internal git status polling leaves orphan locks
(anthropics/claude-code#11005) that block add/commit/merge/push.
The hook checks lsof/fuser before removing — only stale locks are
cleared, never locks held by live processes. Read-only git commands
are skipped entirely.

Add deny rules for destructive operations (force push, hard
