jpmschweitzerandClaude 5f162a6668 rename tagline to "IDE for Claude Code CLI"
clide is an IDE for the Claude Code CLI. The previous tagline
"Flutter desktop IDE for Claude Code" overemphasized the host
toolkit (Flutter is implementation detail, immediately obvious to
contributors) and was ambiguous about whether the integration
target is the CLI specifically.

Updates the welcome subtitle (i18n catalog + widget test + view),
the project description in pubspec.yaml, README and CLAUDE.md, the
CLI banner, and the web manifest/index.

jpmschweitzerandClaude 5fb3df84ed map POSIX errno to actionable IPC error kinds (T-79)
pane.spawn (via PtyException.errno) and editor.open (via
FileSystemException.osError.errorCode) now route ENOENT to
not_found, EACCES/EPERM to user_error with a permissions hint,
EISDIR/ENOTDIR/EEXIST to distinct user-error/conflict, and
EMFILE/ENFILE to tool_error with a "fd limit hit" hint. The
mapping lives in lib/src/ipc/errno_mapping.dart so other handlers
can adopt the same surface as they pick up errno-bearing failures.

jpmschweitzerandClaude 41fd586ca0 IPC server: per-request timeout, error logging, stale-socket guard (T-77)
Three hardening fixes:
- 60s per-request timeout (configurable via DaemonServer constructor)
prevents a misbehaving handler from blocking the connection's
read pipeline indefinitely. On timeout the client gets a clean
  tool_error response.
- broadcast() and the per-request response writeln are wrapped in
try/catch with stderr logging. Previously write failures silently
dropped clients with no diagnostic; events going missing was
  invisible.
- start() probes for a live daemon before unlinking a stale socket.
If something answers within 200ms, refuse to start. Previously
two daemons racing to bind would let the second rip the first's
  live socket out.

jpmschweitzerandClaude 1787147e82 PTY: fix resource leaks and reader-isolate races (T-76)
NativePty.close() now awaits the reader-isolate spawn, kills the
child first to drive EOF on the master fd, awaits the isolate's
EOF acknowledgement, and only then closes the fd. Previously the
fd-close racing with the polling isolate left a window where the
fd number could be reused and the isolate would briefly target the
wrong file.

Both NativePty and PtySession now surface reader-isolate spawn
errors via the output stream's addError instead of silently
swallowing them.

PtySession.spawn closes the master fd on any post-receive failure,
closes parentSock in finally (was leaking on every spawn), and
kills the ptyc process if recvFd fails.

PtySession._recvFdAsync uses try/finally to close the ReceivePort
and kill the spawn isolate even when Isolate.spawn itself throws.

jpmschweitzerandClaude 0d333e8470 PTY: surface errno from forkpty/write/ioctl failures (T-75)
forkpty failures throw PtyException with the captured errno
(previously a generic StateError). The spawned child's chdir/execve
failures write a diagnostic line to its slave PTY before _exit, so
the parent's reader sees "exec failed: <path>" instead of an
indistinguishable EOF.

NativePty.write and PtySession.write loop on short writes and throw
PtyException on hard errors (with errno). NativePty.resize sets
_dead on EBADF so subsequent calls short-circuit cleanly.

jpmschweitzerandClaude 816e60d028 reject path traversal in files.read and files.ls (T-78)
Both handlers concatenated the request path onto the workspace root
without validating containment, letting `path: "../../../etc/passwd"`
escape the workspace. resolveUnderRoot normalizes the path and
checks containment under root.absolute.path before any filesystem
access.

jpmschweitzerandClaude b99548a900 add PTY + IPC error-handling audit (T-18)
29 issues across PTY (lib/src/pty/), IPC (lib/src/ipc/), and
daemon command handlers (lib/src/daemon/). 14 critical (silent
failures, resource leaks, races), 8 high (degraded UX/debug),
7 medium (cleanliness). Each item references the follow-up
ticket where the fix lands (T-75 through T-81).

jpmschweitzerandClaude 4ff004790d suppress bold rendering in terminal to keep cell grid stable
Flutter falls back to synthetic bold when JetBrainsMono-Bold isn't
registered, and synthetic bold drifts glyph advance widths enough
to break the monospace cell grid (cursor block lands between
characters, prompts wrap mid-word). Color is enough to convey
emphasis in TUIs; semantic italic and underline still render.

Also drop the temporary `tmux -L clide kill-server` from the
install target — the rapid-iteration loop is no longer needed.

jpmschweitzerandClaude c378503e26 spawn Claude in fullscreen mode and route mouse-wheel to PgUp/PgDown
Spawn `claude` directly as the tmux command with
CLAUDE_CODE_NO_FLICKER=1 so Claude Code runs in its fullscreen TUI
mode (input box pinned at bottom, owns its own scrollback). Mouse
wheel events are converted to PgUp/PgDown key input — universal
scroll signal that Claude, less, vim normal mode all respect, and
sidesteps the mouse-mode-but-no-scroll dead end where TUI apps
capture mouse without binding the wheel.

Drops the 1000-row tmux canvas + SingleChildScrollView experiment
in favor of viewport-sized tmux and Claude's native bottom-pinning.

Makefile install target now kills the clide tmux server so the
new config takes effect immediately. Marked TEMP — to be removed
once we no longer need the rapid-iteration loop.

The daemon dispatcher (pql, git, files, editor) was built once at
boot against cwd and never updated. Opening a project from the
welcome screen or directory picker had no effect on the daemon
services — pql couldn't find its index, git operated on the wrong
repo.

Now onProjectOpen rebuilds the full dispatcher against the new
workspace root and swaps it into the InProcessClient. The IPC
client's dispatcher field is no longer final.

jpmschweitzerandClaude 943ab966d2 harden PTY FFI layer for macOS
Platform-dispatched constants where Linux and macOS diverge:
TIOCSWINSZ, O_NONBLOCK, MsghdrDarwin struct (4-byte msg_iovlen
and msg_controllen vs Linux's 8-byte size_t fields), and split
recvmsg into Linux/Darwin typed variants so scm_rights uses the
correct struct per platform.

Also: app settings dir uses ~/Library/Application Support on
macOS, removed hardcoded TERMINFO from pane spawn env, removed
debug print from native_pty resize.

jpmschweitzerandClaude 9e340197d7 expand ClideTestApp with IPC, extension, and theme tests
Six improvements to the testmode harness:

1. Shell passthrough tests use the resolved shell instead of
   hardcoded /bin/zsh.
2. Exit code reflects test results (non-zero on any failure).
3. JSON summary line for machine-readable parsing.
4. IPC round-trip smoke (ping, version, unknown-cmd, encode/decode).
5. Extension lifecycle smoke (register + activate files, diff,
git, terminal; theme loading for all four bundled themes).
6. Test categories via CLIDE_TESTMODE dart-define (toolchain, ipc,
extensions, all). Makefile exposes TESTMODE_CATEGORY variable.

Also switches main.dart from bool.fromEnvironment to
String.fromEnvironment so category values other than "true" work.

jpmschweitzerandClaude ad1261fdc2 auto-refresh sidebar panels, pin/focus accordion logic
Decisions: file-change subscription for decisions/*.md plus 1-minute
scheduler tick. Tickets: 1-minute scheduler tick plus changed-event
subscription from status button clicks. PQL markdown tab: file-change
subscription for *.md files. All panels get a manual refresh button.

Accordion sections use pin/focus logic: manually toggled sections are
pinned and stay open; the focused item's section auto-opens; unpinned
sections without focus auto-collapse. Both decisions and tickets views
use ClideAccordion with this pattern.

Ticket sidebar split into six status sections (IN PROGRESS, REVIEW,
READY, BACKLOG, DONE, CANCELLED) matching pql's actual statuses.
Status changes scroll the ticket into its new section.

jpmschweitzerandClaude b236ec439f make TreeSitterService a shared singleton
Each ClideCodeBlock and EditorView created its own TreeSitterService,
each allocating a WASM engine, store, parser, and cursor via FFI.
When widgets were disposed, multiple instances freeing the same
underlying native resources caused double-free corruption on startup.

Single shared instance for the app lifetime. Also fixes overlapping
tree-sitter spans that caused duplicated text in code blocks — spans
are now clipped to avoid re-emitting already-rendered characters.

events (same pattern as ticket controller) and publishes focus after
loading. Both decisions and tickets sidebar views subscribe to the
focus channel, expand the accordion section, highlight the active
card, and scroll it into view.

Clickable DQRT links wired in decision detail, ticket detail, and
markdown viewer via onRecordTap. Ticket descriptions now render
through ClideMarkdown instead of plain text.

jpmschweitzerandClaude 81cc062409 add text zoom, fix context panel drag, widen default panels
Ctrl+Plus/Minus/0 text zoom (5% steps, 60%–200%) via MediaQuery
textScaler. App-wide clideLineHeight (1.25) applied in DefaultTextStyle.

Context panel drag resize was inverted — dragging left shrank the
panel instead of growing it. Negate delta for right-anchored slots.

Default sidebar widened from 240px to 400px, context panel from 280px
to 420px (both at their previous maximums).

jpmschweitzerandClaude fbcfee20b7 overhaul ClideMarkdown renderer
Inline grouping collapses consecutive inline nodes (strong, em, code,
a, del) into a single RichText widget instead of rendering each as a
separate block — fixes tight list items like `builtin.git` appearing
on its own line. HTML entity unescaping moved from pre-parse (useless)
to post-AST extraction where the markdown package actually introduces
the entities. Explicit Josefin Sans Light font family and 1.25 line
height on all RichText spans. Body text bumped to 16px; inline code
uses clideFontMono for visual weight parity.

Adds onRecordTap callback — markdown links matching [DQRT]-\d+ render
as tappable WidgetSpans with hover underline. New typography constants
clideFontSmall (12), clideFontBadge (11), clideLineHeight (1.25).

jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 227d787bc6 add ClideMarkdown, ClideCodeBlock, ClideSvgView primitives
Three reusable rendering widgets in lib/widgets/:

- ClideMarkdown: walks markdown AST (GFM tables, task lists,
fenced code), renders headings, lists, blockquotes, tables,
inline bold/italic/code/links. Delegates code blocks to
  ClideCodeBlock.

- ClideCodeBlock: syntax-highlighted code via TreeSitterService.
Async highlight, byte-to-char offset mapping, theme-aware
  colors from SurfaceTokens.

- ClideSvgView: wraps jovial_svg with asset/string constructors
  and optional sizing.

Retrofitted: decision detail body renders as markdown instead of
raw text. Markdown viewer uses ClideMarkdown. Welcome logo uses
ClideSvgView.

Extension listens to its own selection channel and activates the

order in main.dart now determines sidebar icon rail order: tickets
first, then decisions, files, git, pql, problems.

jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 6dcb24144e icons from extensions, settings-based tab ordering, static context tabs
Icons now declared on TabContribution via the icon field — the
hardcoded switch in _BottomRail is a fallback only. All sidebar
and context extensions set their Phosphor icon explicitly.

PanelRegistry supports setTabOrder(slot, List<String>) — tabs
render in the order specified by project.layout.sidebar.order /
context.order in settings.yaml. Falls back to registration order.
Priority field removed from all contributions.

Context tabs are static again — persist with their last content,
selection just loads new data and switches focus. No spawn/despawn.

Tickets sidebar priority set to -200 (leftmost, default open).

jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 bd00990e1d fix detail pane: load on first click, despawn on navigate away
Two flow fixes:
1. First click now works — extension passes initialId to the
detail view constructor, which loads immediately in
   didChangeDependencies. No second click needed.
2. Tab despawns when user navigates away — extension listens to
PanelRegistry changes, despawns detail tab when it's no longer
   the active context panel tab.

Each selection re-creates the tab with a fresh initialId so the
view always matches the selection. Applied to both tickets and
decisions.

jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 8ebc566b06 dynamic context panel tabs — spawn on demand, no empty placeholders
Context panel tabs are no longer static. Extensions spawn them
dynamically when relevant and despawn on deactivate:

- Decisions: detail tab spawns on builtin.decisions/selection
- Backlinks: spawns when editor opens a file
- Markdown viewer: spawns when editor opens a .md file
- Graph: removed from static context (will be command-spawnable)

The icon rail only shows what's active — no empty tabs sitting
there waiting for content.

jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 db550d6829 use KDE server-decoration protocol for native Wayland frameless
Replace xdg-decoration (needs xdg_toplevel, GTK3 doesn't expose it)
with org_kde_kwin_server_decoration (works with wl_surface which
GDK provides). On KDE Wayland: binds the manager from the registry,
creates a per-surface decoration object, requests mode=None (0).
Falls back gracefully on GNOME (protocol not present, GTK's
set_decorated(FALSE) already works). X11 fallback via
gdk_window_set_decorations(0) unchanged.

jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 a6b11a4cd8 implement xdg-decoration for native Wayland frameless
Replace XWayland fallback with proper xdg-decoration protocol
negotiation. On Wayland: binds zxdg_decoration_manager_v1 from
the compositor registry, requests CLIENT_SIDE mode on the toplevel
surface — KWin respects this and drops server-side decorations.
Falls back to gdk_window_set_decorations(0) + set_decorated(FALSE)
on X11. GDK_BACKEND=x11 removed from Makefile.

Also fixes mouse-jumping glitch: startDrag and startResize now
pass screen coordinates from Flutter's globalPosition through the
method channel to gtk_window_begin_move/resize_drag.

jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 80ad41cd62 set GTK_CSD=1 in make run for frameless on KDE Wayland
KWin adds server-side decorations that ignore
gtk_window_set_decorated(FALSE). GTK_CSD=1 forces client-side
decoration mode, which our set_decorated(FALSE) then suppresses.

jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 86ad659121 add chrome token set for frame surfaces
New tokens: chromeBackground, chromeForeground, chromeBorder —
shared root for hat bar, sidebar, context panel, status bar,
spines, and drag handles. All resolve to bgSunken/textDim/border
in the palette by default. Themes can override individually to
diverge surfaces. Replaces direct sidebarBackground/statusBar
references in chrome contexts. Updated theme-ui skill.

jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 1494d6a414 add theme-ui skill for token selection consistency
Guides widget development to use the correct background, border,
text, and hover tokens per surface type. Documents the three-tier
background model (root/chrome/surface), the token identity rule
(no borrowing across surfaces), and flags the pending need for
chromeBackground/chromeForeground tokens.

jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 ddfe8dd99d paint drag handle background to match adjacent panel
The non-line pixels in the 5px drag handle now fill with the
adjacent panel's background color (sidebar or context) instead
of being transparent. The 1px divider line stays on the inner
edge touching the center column.

jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 161534043e fix side panel padding: no pad on divider edge
Sidebar pads left/top only (not right — that's the divider side).
Context panel pads right/top only (not left — divider side). The
divider handle's transparent pixels now show the center column's
background correctly.
