T
jpmschweitzerandClaude Fable 5 b4919c659b chore(meta): wiki sweep — 2,131 dead heightmap links, nav refresh, GOVERNANCE reality (T-1070, T-1071)
- T-1070: scaffold_bodies.py heightmap link now conditional (bake criteria
per import_heightmaps.py); surgical removal of the dead image line from
all 2,131 body pages lacking the file (267 with the file keep theirs)
- T-1071: 26 real link breaks fixed (knowledge/→concepts/, pre-governance
decision anchors, 9 phantom catalog companions unlinked, cygni relink to
the corporation page, wrong design-doc path); wiki/index.md counts fixed
(301 systems) + Economics nav section; corporations/index.md regenerated
from frontmatter (all 155, tier1.toml grouping — corrects 4 misfiled
tier-1 corps); 25 orphaned station GTTRs linked from 11 system pages
(own ##-heading so atlas sync cannot absorb it); GOVERNANCE.md +
star-system template rewritten to the generated model (DB owns
structured fields, wiki owns prose); triangles/index.md added
- Sol markers conversion REVERTED before commit: atlas_viewer.gd:433 still
renders the legacy geometry schema, so conversion would drop Sol's Atlas
overlays — split to T-1073 (convert together with the client read path)

Broken relative links: 2,180 → 25 (all remaining are intentional
_templates/ placeholders).

Supply Dependency

Okafor Station imports manufactured goods and food from Lacaille (GJ 825) and forwards transit volume toward the outer systems (GJ 1245A) and the core-adjacent GJ 699. The G8V main-sequence star supports one marginal habitable world — technically within the habitability range but with a thin atmosphere requiring ongoing environmental management. Local food production covers perhaps a third of resident needs. The station economy runs on transit handling, financial services (the founding Okafor family established a trading house that has evolved into a regional exchange), and Guild-certified cargo broking.

Faction Notes

Chukwuemeka Okafor, a Nigerian-heritage Wave 3 merchant, established the original transit post that grew into this system's commercial core. The Okafor family trading house persists as the dominant commercial entity, now in its seventh generation under family leadership. They are not a government — governance is an elected council — but they are the economic infrastructure that makes governance possible, which gives them influence that formal titles understate.

Commonwealth corridor character is visible in the elected council's procedural formality, the systems of appeals and review that govern commercial disputes, and the cultural expectation that authority should be accountable and legible. The Nigerian founding heritage adds a relational dimension that pure parliamentary tradition lacks — key decisions get made in extended consultation with affected parties before they reach the formal record, which means the formal record reflects consensus rather than producing it.

The Concord Assembly's presence is regular and functional: a compliance office, a quarterly fleet transit, a delegate who has sat on the Assembly Commerce Committee for two terms. Okafor Station is not an opposition voice in Assembly chambers; it votes its interests, which are usually aligned with Assembly commercial frameworks that benefit established trading houses.

Silence Topic

The Okafor family exchange has been executing a series of quiet forward-purchase contracts on grain shipments originating from Puerto Rivera (GJ 780), two hops inward via Lacaille. The contracts extend out eight years — an unusual horizon for a commodity transaction at this distance. Someone in the exchange has seen or obtained Puerto Rivera's sealed variable-star planning report, or has independently modelled the same agricultural disruption scenario and is positioning ahead of it. The family leadership has not briefed the council.

Narrative Hook

Okafor Station markets itself as the corridor's most transparent financial hub; the family exchange's eight-year grain position suggests the transparency has its limits.

Calibration Note

Wave_3 settlement at hop 3 reflects a second-wave commercial activation — Okafor's founding expedition arrived after the transit infrastructure was established and identified the commercial opportunity in junction services rather than agriculture or extraction. The Nigerian heritage is an Early Arrival cross-corridor exception, consistent with the cultural framework's note that founding families of non-dominant heritage appear throughout the corridor wherever economic opportunity pulled them. The name "Station" modifier signals commercial rather than settlement identity, consistent with Okafor's founding as a transit post.
