GJ 324A | K-type | deep_frontier

The gates are here. The corridor was mapped. No one claimed it. GJ 324A is one of the frontier's unclaimed transits — a system with demonstrable habitability, a functioning horizon station, and a survey record that describes marginal agricultural potential accurately enough that every cohort that looked at it moved on to somewhere else. The system sees occasional traffic between Knotenpunkt and GJ 167 and nothing else.

Faction Notes

No permanent faction presence. The horizon station is self-maintaining by design. Automated relay hardware, installed during the wave_3 corridor mapping, continues to broadcast navigation data for transiting vessels. No one has been contracted to service it in living memory; the station's self-maintenance systems have not required human intervention.

The Lattice Commission's records for GJ 324A list it as surveyed, unmapped for settlement, and not under active review. No Commission personnel are assigned to the system. The survey record is 180 years old.

Silence Topic

None recorded. The system has no population and therefore no institutional silence. What is absent here is more significant than what is present — this is one of several deep frontier systems where the question of why no founding cohort ever committed is not answered by the survey record alone. Marginal habitability explains why GJ 324A was not first choice. It does not fully explain why, across three centuries of frontier expansion, it was never anyone's second choice either.
