jpmschweitzerandClaude Opus 4.6 199770ee41 data(wiki): add Bodies/Population rows + economic profiles to 301 systems (#790, #781)
Adds Bodies and Population rows to System Profile tables across all 301
star-system wiki pages. Adds Industries, Exports, and Imports economic
profile rows derived from systems.db economic_base + body type + topology.
Includes 9 body/station name changes from cultural diversity remediation.

Supply Dependency

Puerto Rivera exports agricultural surplus — the G5 subgiant variable's higher luminosity relative to a main-sequence star of similar mass pushed the habitable zone outward to a world with unusually productive growing conditions. Core-direction traffic (GJ 845) takes most of the surplus; Lacaille (GJ 825) receives the remainder on its inbound pass. Singh's Landing (GJ 879) is a partial dependency — it imports Puerto Rivera grain and processed protein and would face acute food insecurity if the junction closed for more than a season.

Faction Notes

Wave 2 settlement means Puerto Rivera has been governed by its own institutions longer than most north_reach systems — long enough that the Assembly presence here is respected but not deferred to in the way hop-3 systems settled in later waves tend to defer. The elected Council of Governors is a functional parliamentary body with genuine independence on internal agricultural and land-use decisions. The Assembly delegate attends, votes at Gateway, and is treated with courtesy; the Council does not ask the delegate's opinion before acting on local matters.

The founding cultural stream was south_reach rather than Commonwealth — Emilio Rivera's Wave 2 agricultural survey expedition drew its personnel from Latin American agricultural cooperatives, producing a Spanish-heritage founding community on a north_reach gate path. After six generations, the cultural mix has broadened substantially, but the cooperative governance model, the naming traditions, and the food culture remain south_reach-inflected.

The variable star is an ongoing economic consideration: luminosity fluctuation on a 22-year cycle requires agricultural planning over multi-decade horizons, which has produced a class of specialist long-range planners who are among the most respected figures in local governance.

Silence Topic

The current 22-year luminosity cycle is predicted to reach its peak variance in approximately eight years. The long-range planning committee's models suggest this cycle will be more intense than any in recorded settlement history. The committee's report was presented to the Council in closed session six months ago. The Council has not made it public. Seed vault procurement has quietly tripled.

Narrative Hook

Puerto Rivera has survived seven variable-star cycles and knows exactly how to prepare for the eighth — if it can do so before the news gets out and the rest of the north_reach starts competing for the same seed stock.

Calibration Note

Wave_2 settlement at hop 3 is consistent with early Wave 2 agricultural expansion — Rivera's expedition was among the first outbound pushes from the core after the initial transit infrastructure was established. The subgiant variable classification is real: these stars exist in this intermediate evolutionary state and their luminosity variability is a genuine astronomical phenomenon that creates a distinctive agricultural planning environment. The south_reach cultural exception in a north_reach corridor is an Early Arrival archetype — economically driven, founder-named, now several generations deep.
