The name comes from a Swedish town in Värmland province — not a direct transplant but a deliberate echo by a founding family with Swedish heritage who wanted something that sounded like home without being a copy of it. The G3/G5V binary creates the thermal stability that justifies the precision manufacturing specialization, distinguishing Torsby from the red dwarf systems around it. loop_member topology is accurate to its function as a through-route on the Dokkum branch. The Swedish name with a Scandinavian founding family fits the west_reach Germanic corridor without being a direct Earth place-name.
