Korhonen herself lived to see the system activated and apparently found the honor unremarkable.

The extraction syndicate that held the original license was absorbed into a larger consortium within forty years. That consortium has since been reorganized twice. The current operational entity — Korhonen Extraction Partners, a name chosen for continuity of legal identity rather than any sentimental attachment — runs the primary mining complexes under a council-oversight arrangement that the resident community won during a labor dispute roughly eighty years ago. The council has formal authority over housing conditions, safety standards, and shift structures. It does not have authority over ore pricing or gate access terms.
