The F-type star here burns hotter and bluer than most corridor systems, pushing the habitable zone outward and flooding the primary world with broad-spectrum light that favors a particular style of agriculture — high-yield grains, leafy vegetables, and a calendar organized around intense growing seasons separated by hard rest periods. The founding Vietnamese families brought seed stocks and cultivation techniques adapted over centuries to humid, high-light environments, and they found that the primary world rewarded that knowledge. Xa Vời has been feeding parts of the east_reach corridor ever since.

Being a dead-end past Jeonnam (GJ 3728B) has shaped the community's character in specific ways. There is no through-traffic; everyone who arrives here intended to arrive here. The social texture is correspondingly tight — a population that has been more or less the same families for three hundred years, supplemented by occasional settlers who followed the corridor all the way to its end and decided not to leave. The agricultural cooperatives that manage most of the primary world's farmland are old institutions, some tracing unbroken records back to the founding wave. This is not a dependency in the crisis sense; the primary world grows enough to sustain its own population many times over, and the export trade is comfortable surplus rather than the system's economic lifeline. The system imports manufactured goods — tools, machinery components, medical hardware — that its small population cannot produce efficiently at home. The single aperture means all of this passes through Jeonnam. If the Jeonnam connection became problematic, Xa Vời could sustain itself; it could not easily replace what it imports.

Faction Notes

No significant Reach faction has a formal presence in Xa Vời. The agricultural cooperatives ARE the governance structure: they manage the land registry, arbitrate disputes, maintain the port authority's few functions, and hold the community's institutional memory.
