Supply Dependency

The three junction systems that connect to Nová Tržnice — Port Desrochers, Yongjin, and Jinghu — had centuries of gate traffic moving through their apertures before anyone settled GJ 105A. They coordinated, competed, and occasionally disputed routing priority on freight bound for the east_reach's interior. What none of them had was a destination that turned transit into commerce.

The founders identified this before they filed the settlement application. A K3V star at hop 4, comfortably habitable, sitting at the intersection of three established transit junctions, had sat empty for three hundred years not because the planet was unsuitable but because no party with the standing to develop it had an interest in creating a commercial competitor. What the founders offered the adjacent junctions was not competition but processing capacity: a place where the freight arriving from three directions could be opened, assessed, combined, finished, and sent back out as something more valuable than what arrived. Port Desrochers, Yongjin, and Jinghu all supported the development application. The transit logic was obvious once someone laid it out.

Nová Tržnice is forty years old and its economic character is density rather than scale. Hundreds of commercial operations occupy the surface settlements: light manufacturers who receive bulk components and finish them for end markets, wholesale consolidators who combine small producer shipments into gate-viable freight loads, brand showrooms maintained by east_reach companies who want a neutral location for procurement meetings, and the workshop layer — custom fabricators, specialty component suppliers, repair operations — that occupies the commercial gaps between larger operations. The Market Authority, still run by the founding generation, maintains infrastructure and dispute resolution. No single company dominates. The charter was written that way deliberately.

The habitable body is genuinely good land by east_reach standards: temperate, well-watered, adequate for agricultural self-sufficiency. The founders built commercial infrastructure first and residential amenity second. Forty years of consistent economic activity have started to balance those priorities.

Faction Notes

The founding group was Czech — commercial logistics professionals from inner-corridor systems who recognized the gap before anyone else and moved on it before a corporate entity could foreclose the position. Czech heritage is unusual in this part of the east_reach corridor, where the demographic baseline is predominantly Asian-heritage drawn from the three adjacent junctions' migration pools. The founders were not sentimental about this. They named the system in Czech, structured the commercial law framework on Central European trade traditions, and then built a market that attracted the east_reach's merchants, buyers, and manufacturers on purely commercial terms. The cultural mixing that followed was organic and transaction-driven. You set up shop in Nová Tržnice because the market is good.

The Market Authority — formally the Nová Tržnice Commercial Charter Authority — is the founders' most significant institutional creation. It operates as a quasi-governmental body with authority over market infrastructure, commercial dispute resolution, and charter compliance. The founding generation holds the Authority's senior positions and has shown no inclination to constitute an independent governance succession. Whether the Authority's current structure is durable past the founding generation is a question the second generation is not yet pressing openly.

The Lattice Commission has a field presence appropriate to a junction with active commercial throughput. The free-port charter's transparency requirement — full commercial transaction logging as a condition of reduced tariff assessment — has created an unusual dynamic: Commission agents at Nová Tržnice have access to more complete commercial data than at most comparable systems, but the data's value for investigative purposes is circumscribed by the charter's explicit commercial-compliance framing. The Commission can audit transaction records. Whether it can use those records for purposes the charter did not contemplate is a question the Authority has not yet needed to litigate.

Assembly presence at hop 4 is structural and consistent. The free-port commercial charter was negotiated with Assembly commercial affairs through a process that took eight years and produced a document that both sides consider acceptable. The Assembly's working relationship with the Authority is functional. Whether the Assembly considers a free port in the east_reach an asset to be maintained or an exception to be eventually normalized is not stated in any public record.

Silence Topic

The free-port charter requires that every commercial transaction conducted within the system be logged in the Market Authority's central registry. This was the founders' concession in exchange for reduced tariff assessment, and it was marketed as a transparency provision that would make Nová Tržnice a trustworthy commercial environment. Forty years of complete transaction records covering hundreds of companies across three connecting junction systems is what that provision has actually produced.

The registry maps the east_reach's real commercial relationships with a granularity that no other single source matches: who buys from whom, at what price, on what schedule, with what volume variation. Supply chain dependencies, pricing relationships, preferred routing patterns, commercial alliances that do not appear in any corporate filing — all of it is in the registry as an incidental byproduct of charter compliance.

The Market Authority maintains the registry. The Authority also controls who can query it and for what stated purpose. The founders built the access framework into the original charter, which was reasonable in year one when the registry contained forty transactions. What the access framework does not account for is what the registry has become after forty years of the east_reach's busiest commercial junction operating at full capacity. Several parties — the Commission, at least two major east_reach commercial interests, and one entity the Authority has not publicly identified — have formally requested expanded query access in the past decade. The Authority has approved none of these requests in full.

Narrative Hook

Forty years of complete commercial transaction records covering every company that has done business at the east_reach's primary marketplace sit in the Market Authority's registry, and the founders who control access to that data have declined every request for expanded query rights without public explanation.

Calibration Note

wave_5 at hop 4 as a junction is unusual — most hop-4 systems were settled in wave_2 or wave_3. Nová Tržnice's late settlement reflects that the system's value was contingent on the three adjacent junctions' prior establishment: without Port Desrochers, Yongjin, and Jinghu operating as mature transit hubs, there was no commercial rationale for a processing hub between them. The system needed its neighbors to exist before it could function. This is a Section 6.2 economic logic exception rather than a survey oversight. K3V classification and hop 4 position support a temperate habitable world that genuinely sat empty for three centuries by commercial consensus rather than physical constraint. Czech founding heritage in an east_reach corridor is a cross-corridor exception consistent with the Early Arrival archetype applied to a wave_5 commercial opportunity claim.
